My husband Joel and I made what we thought was a temporary move from South Florida in March 2020 to work and live in our 1960’s Cocoa Beach vacation home during the first wave of Covid. But, as our circumstances changed and retirement became a possibility, we decided to explore our options of turning our outdated vacation home into our forever home.
As we lived in the area more, we noticed that a particular builder’s homes really caught our interest. That’s when we called Trade Wind Builders and spoke with John and shortly after scheduled an appoint to meet with Joan to discuss design ideas. Right away we sensed we were on the right track as Joan listened carefully to our wish list of hopes and dreams for our future home. Joan was able to quickly capture what we had discussed in a design we loved. Working with John was gratifying as well. His knowledge and integrity steered us toward the best decisions for coastal living materials and design and gave us confidence about our choices. We appreciated his patience to answer all our questions. When Covid forced increased pricing in most everything, John stuck to his word and communicated clearly which further gained our trust and respect. John’s impeccable planning and ongoing communication also served to keep our build on schedule despite Covid supply chain issues. It was truly remarkable to watch our job move forward despite all the challenges. When dealing with the Trade Wind subcontractors, they always spoke about John with the highest regard to his professionalism and the quality of work. The Trade Wind crew also were a pleasure to get to know and talk over progress with during every phase of the build. Even during these extraordinarily challenging times, we were pleased to move into our home within our contracted completion date. We are thankful to Trade Wind Builders for making our forever home a beautiful addition to our neighborhood and a place we are delighted to call home.
